He was born on April 20, 1969 in Salzburg, Austria, he was a soldier,he's a paratrooper and a BASE jumper. It is known for the particularly dangerous jumps that he has accomplished during his career. Baumgartner was in the Austrian military where he practiced parachute jumping, including training to land on small areas. He made his first jump at age 16 and improved his skills as parachute team member Austrian Army special forces.
He has made several significant jumps during his career:
-In 1999 he obtained the record for the highest jump off a building when he jumped from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
-On  the 31st of July 2003  he became the first person to cross the English Channel in freefall. Baumgartner set a world record for the lowest jump in history in Rio de Janeiro.
He was the first person to make a BASE jump from the Millau Viaduct and the first person who made him skydiving.
-On  the 12th of December  2007, he became the first person to jump from the observation deck of the floor 91, the record was on the 90th floor about 390 m.
-In January 2010 he was working with a team of scientists and branded Red Bull to achieve the highest jump ever made, was to make a jump of 36,600 m, trying to become the first parachutist to break the sound barrier; it was programated to take place in 2011. However, this project was canceled and then renewed because Daniel Hogan submit a lawsuit in California Superior Court in April, claiming to be the originator of the idea of ​​jumping into the edge of space in 2004, and that Red Bull had stolen.

His biggest success was the 14th of October 2012,it took place in Roswell, to ascend to the 39,068 meters, from this height he made a free fall, that day he broke three historical records to throw in free fall from 39,068 meters of ascending balloon manned into the stratosphere. The three Recrods are:

1. First human to break the sound barrier without mechanical support and free fall in the first 40 seconds of the crash broke, arriving at about 1342.8 km / h.
